Natchez, MS (October 24, 2000) -- Callon Petroleum Company (NYSE: CPE / CPE.PrA) announced today that its $32 million offering of Senior Subordinated Notes due 2005 has been priced to yield 11%. The notes have been approved for listing on The New York Stock Exchange. The offering is managed by Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. and A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc.

Pending the use of the net proceeds, the company will repay amounts under its bank credit facility, which may be re-borrowed at a later date.
